Q. What does Corel-specialized courseware mean?
A.
Our Corel-specialized courseware means that the material was produced, tested, and endorsed by a Corel-certified instructor. We at Anzai! Inc. have been become the defacto champions in providing self-paced material for Corel applications. We began as version 1 users of both CorelDRAW and Ventura and have progressed to maintaining an active partnership in the Corel community. For example, Tom Anzai has been a Featured Presenter at all CorelWorld's since 1998 and at the Ventura Summit in 2002. Too, our courseware is used as teaching aids at the Corel Training Camps held at Corel Corporation in Ottawa, Canada.

Q. Can I preview a sample?
A.
To download a sample of our CorelDRAW, Corel Photo-Paint, and Corel Ventura Intro and Advanced courseware (selected pages only) in Adobe PDF format, click Demo page. You must have Adobe® Acroba®t Reader™  installed to view the sample.

Q. Can I purchase a PDF version of the courseware?
A. Yes, you can complete the online order form and request that the PDF version (approx. 4.5 Mb) of our CorelDRAW, Photo-Paint, and Ventura courseware be sent to your email address or provided as a downloadable file. You will also receive the exercise files (approx. 1 Mb) that are required to complete the exercises. While nothing is better than a physical hardcopy manual, electronic PDF files may be more suitable for our International customers who will save on the cost of shipping a manual. Also, our PDFs are priced at $16.95-$19.95 and allows you to save at least 55% over the standard price of our hardcopy manuals. Check out our Online Order Page for further details.

Q. How are your manuals different than those big Reference books or web-based tutorials?
A.
Our manuals follow a totally step-by-step approach to teaching the designated topics. YOU learn hands-on by following the easy to understand step-by-step instructions, screen captures, and illustrations. The Reference books that you can buy from your local computer store do not use a training approach, and thus, tend to cover lots of material without necessarily telling you how to do it. We feel that Reference books are a good choice if you like to use a User manual approach to learning. Similarily, web-based, CD-ROM, and video based tutorials do not always promote hands-on activity and do not teach in a clear, logical approach. You'll find our manuals “hold your hand” while you learn in logical, well-organized segments.

Q. Can I use your manuals for self-paced instruction?
A.
Certainly! Due to the step-by-step format, you can easily understand and follow each exercise. Even the section questionnaire (wrap-up questions at the end of each section) answers are located in the appendix. And, we do not have a limit on the number of manuals you can order. You can order from one manual and up.

Q. Are there any instructor guides?
A.
We do not presently have a dedicated instructor's manual for our courseware. One reason is the nature of the step-by-step approach taken in Anzai! manuals and the numerous Tips, Notes, and Hints in the margins. Our other decision was based on the different training environments that use our courseware. We have found that some training centers use a one-day, rush format while others such as Colleges may use our manuals for multi-week courses. To give you some guidelines when instructing with our courseware, go to the general instructor notes page.

Q. Do you offer any programs for Colleges and University programs?
A.
We value our College and University programs who offer accredited courses in CorelDRAW. We presently have numerous institutions who teach CorelDRAW in Office Administration, Continuing Education, and Information Sciences programs. If you offer these types of courses, we would like to work with you to offer our courseware at acceptable prices (e.g., if you qualify for a quantity discount, we can offset your bookstore's markup). We will also provide a complimentary desk copy of our courseware for your instructor. Email us at service@anzai.com.

Q. What is the method of payment?
A.
Payment for Anzai! Inc. training manuals can be made by Visa or MasterCard.  We can also accept certified checks and money orders that are sent to our office (please expect three weeks for mail delivery of your payment before we process your order). Once you fill out the online form, we will verify the order details and credit card information before we process your order.

To see complete an online order, go to Online Order Page.

Q. What is your return policy?
A.
When placing your order, you agree to comply with the following return policy:

* For U.S. returns, clearly mark “Goods to be returned back to Canada” on shipment waybills and documentation. Any customs charges incurred when shipping ground (e.g., UPS ground) will be deducted from the credit check.

Please request permission to return the manuals first by phoning: (613) 724-3773 or email service@anzai.com. Once we confirm that it is possible to return your order, send the manuals to: Anzai! Inc., 963 Killeen Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, K2A 4E2. Failure to comply with any of these return instructions may nullify your request to receive a reimbursement.

Q. I have a faulty exercise disk that came with the manual or I have lost it. Can I download the exercise files?
A.
Yes. Go to http://www.anzai.com/download.htm and click on the desired exercise files. After downloading the self-extracting ZIP file, double-click the file in Windows Explorer to automatically copy the files to the C:\Corel\Learn folder. When this process is finished, you will have all the files necessary to complete the exercises in the manual. Please note that the self-extracting ZIP file replaces the instructions and destination folder (C:\Corel\Learn) as described in the “How to Install the Exercise Files” in Section 1 of each training manual.

Q. So, in a nutshell why would I purchase Anzai! manuals?
A.
Because we tell you to? No, we hope that your research confirms the following about our manuals:

  1. Written by a veteran Corel-authorized instructor, Tom Anzai, who beta tests, instructs, judges, and conducts seminars on CorelDRAW, Photo-Paint, and Ventura. By ordering through us, you have direct contact with Tom and his knowledge of the program.
  2. Corel-specialized and used to teach the students at Corel Training Camps. What better testimonial can you get?
  3. Comes with sample drawings, clipart, and photos to use in the real-world exercise applications. No fluff here.
  4. Available in both Introductory and Advanced levels to offer training beyond the basics. This two-tier approach keeps introductory learning “progressive” with an opportunity to ramp up to the Advanced level.
  5. Since we specialize only in Corel courseware, we are typically the first to provide approved curriculum. This allows you to start learning immediately following the release of the product.
  6. Published using only Corel software including CorelDRAW, Corel Ventura, Corel Photo-Paint, and Corel Capture. We practice what we preach!
